Gourma Provincial Director Extends Good Wishes for School Year Return


Gourma: The provincial director in charge of secondary education in Gourma, Ahmadou Gassambe, sent his best wishes for a good return to school on Monday, September 15, 2025, in Fada N’Gourma to all stakeholders in the province’s education system.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial director, Ahmadou Gassambe, addressed the administrative start of the school year, emphasizing the transition from a period of rest to preparing for the 2025-2026 academic year. Gassambe expressed appreciation for the dedication of administrative staff, school managers, teachers, and social partners towards education in Gourma.



He encouraged all participants to approach the new school year with a sense of shared responsibility, underscoring the importance of preserving and defending Burkina Faso. Gassambe emphasized, “We only have one country and for it, no sacrifice is too much.”



The provincial director also acknowledged the contributions of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). He noted that their efforts enabled thousands of students to continue their studies despite challenging security conditions.



Gassambe concluded with a call to action, urging everyone to contribute towards a peaceful, secure, and productive school year, stating, “Long live education! Long live Burkina Faso! Homeland or death, we will win!”
