Gaoua: The Gnombre association has extended its support to 33 orphans of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) by providing them with school kits for the upcoming academic year. The distribution took place on Thursday at the School of Middle Managers in Social Work, with administrative and military authorities, as well as beneficiary families, in attendance.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the national president of the Gnombre association, Da Sie Emile, emphasized the organization’s commitment to humanitarian efforts, particularly in support of those who have served the country. This year, the association chose to focus on supporting the children of fallen FDS and VDP soldiers by equipping them with necessary school supplies.
Pauline Guibila, speaking on behalf of the beneficiary families, expressed gratitude for the association’s support. She highlighted the financial burden of the school year, especially for parents with multiple children, and noted that this assistance provides much-needed relief.
The Gnombre association, which gathers its members every three years in Gaoua, aims to continue its efforts to aid vulnerable populations in the region.
