Qatar’s team beat Ponta d’Água 1-0 on Sunday and joins Achadinha in the final of the South Santiago Regional Veterans Football Championship, referring to the 2021-2022 season.
In the second leg of the semi-finals, which took place at the Várzea Stadium, the only goal of the match was scored in the 17th minute by Duca, after dribbling the opposing goalkeeper and pushing into the back of the goal deserted.
The Achada Santo António team was better throughout the match, having in the second half wasted many opportunities to scorer, especially by the former Cabo Verdean international Caló. In the first leg the two teams did not come out of a goalless draw.
In the other semifinal, whose second-leg match was played this Saturday, the 8th, Achadinha’s team beat Praia 3-1 after a 1-0 win in the first match.
