The Futebol Clube Praia Branca team will stay out of football competitions for the 2022/2023 season, on São Nicolau Island, the club president Leonel Varela told Inforpress, who claimed organizational reasons.
“Lets say its a moment of reflection, where we have to think about what we want for the future, because at the moment we feel that we are not minimally organized like in previous years to participate in competitions”, he admitted.
Moreover, as he analyzed, in Cape Verde and in São Nicolau in particular, at the associative level “all responsibilities end up overloading a single person”, as is the case with the club.
“There are not many people available in the directive part, so all the responsibilities end up falling on a single person, this is one of the reasons for our non-participation”, he underlined.
