Football: Cabo Verdean women’s referee nominated for Liberia – Senegal game

The Cabo Verdean women’s refereeing will once again be present in the African U-20 World Cup qualifier, with a team nominated to the Liberia – Senegal game in October 20 for the African Cup of Nations.

According to information provided by the Cabo Verdean Football Federation, a trio composed of Ana Maria Lopes (chief referee of the Regional Fogo Association), assisted by Maria Monteiro (Fogo) and Evandra Celina (South Santiago) is again appointed by the African Football Confederation (CAF).

This trio had represented Cabo Verde last weekend in the Guinea Conakry – Sierra Leone game in Senegal, in a game for the Africa’s World Cup qualifier for the 2022 World Cup to be played in Costa Rica.

The same source said that assistant referee Evandra Celina was also nominated to the Mauritania – Guinea Bissau game, scheduled for October 26, in Nouakchott, counting for the qualifiers for CAN 2022.
