Fogo: Investments of more than 2 million Euro planned for renewable energy and water mobilization

The island of Fogo could benefit from an investment of more than two million Euros, more than 220 million escudos, for renewable energy sectors and water mobilization for human consumption and agriculture.

The information was provided to Inforpress by the director and shareholder of Ric Energy Cabo Verde and shareholder and business development of Genius Watter for the ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States) region, Jorge Andrade Nogueira, who has already requested a meeting with the Mayors of the island to make known the work done and the investment opportunities in these two sectors.

He told that more than 30 data surveys were carried out in the island, free of charge, and are available to advance and finance the largest solar installation operation ever on the island, enable structuring projects and create income and savings for companies operating in Fogo.

“We are working with the most important agents for the development of the island and we intend to develop a structure capable of generating wealth and sustainability,” said Jorge Andrade Nogueira, appealing to the authorities, namely the City Halls, which have the duty and responsibility to embrace these initiatives.
