Brazilian musician Fred Martins starts today at the Sete Sois Sete Luas São Filipe Center an artistic residency with the Popular Orchestra 7Sóis from Fogo to prepare the concert of the 19th.
The Brazilian composer and guitarist is in Cabo Verde on the framework of the Sete Sois Sete Luas Festival schedule to work with the Sete Sois bands from the islands of Brava, Fogo, Maio and Santiago (Tarrafal).
The residency began in the island of Brava where he participated in the concert accompanied with the local band, and arrives today on the island of Fogo where he will remain until the 20th and then will traver to the island of Maio.
According to a press release from the Sete Sois Sete Luas Festival direction, Fred Martins’ compositions have been performed by renowned Brazilian musicians, including Adriana Calcanhoto, Ney Matogrosso, Maria Rita, Zélia Duncan and MPB4, among others.
