The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) announced their decision to exempt themselves from the preparations for the upcoming 2026 world cup Qualifiers between the Cameroon and Cape Verde including Angola on June 08 and 11, respectively. According to the fédération, the decision comes after a series of 'serious' events that occurred during the preparations for the start of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon training camp on Sunday June 2. FECAFOOT said its staff were subject to intimidation by the law enforcement forces, making it impossible to carry out the usual welcoming operations for the Indomable Lions at the Hilton hotel These events led to an emergency meeting where the Committee decided to exclude themselves from the preparations for the two upcoming games. Moving on, the Indomitable Lions' maiden training session scheduled for Monday was held late after FECAFOOT confiscated kits. Source: Cameroon News Agency
