ERIS conducts study to evaluate medical device market in Cabo Verde

The Independent Health Regulatory Authority (ERIS) is conducting a study from today to 20th this month to evaluate the medical device market in Cabo Verde with economic operators dealing with the import of these products.

The purpose of the study is, according to an ERIS publication, to make a diagnosis of the current functioning of the medical device market within the scope of its tasks for the pharmaceutical sector, specifically with regard to medical devices.

The online survey will be carried out with the economic operators dealing with the importation of these products into Cabo Verde.

“Medical devices are pharmaceutical products intended for use for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes, the main effects of which are intended on the human body are not achieved by pharmacological, immunological or metabolic means, thereby differentiating them from medicines and other health products,” explains the same source.
