By Biwah Bryan Bafmeng suffered a 0-1 defeat to Racing of Bafoussam which narrowed their chances of securing a spot in the playoffs. In Pool A, Bafmeng currently sit third with 20 points, tied with Racing who hold the fourth spot. With both teams left with one match each, there are several options that can secure Bafmeng's qualification which will all involve a close competition with Racing. If Bafmeng and Racing both win their last matches, they will all have 23 points but the number of goals the both sides score will be a big decider. Currently, Bafmeng have scored 19 goals and conceded 14 while Racing have scored 14 and conceded 9. Alternatively, a draw in Bafmeng's next match can still qualify them irrespective of what happens in the other day 14 matches. As it stands, the top 4 teams after 14 match days will advance to play the championship playoffs which will decide the teams that will be promoted to the Elite One championship while the bottom 4 teams in both pools will play the relegation playo ffs. However, this analysis will only be valid if the homologation committee does not dock any points from the teams. Source: Cameroon News Agency
