DRIP to enhance road networks in Amenfi Central-DCE

Mr Alexander Baidoo, the Wassa Amenfi Central District Chief Executive (DCE), has stated that the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) will equip the Assembly with the necessary equipment to enhance deplorable road networks in the area. Speaking at the launch of the Programme for the district, he said the initiative was expected to create direct jobs and reshape critical road infrastructure that were essential to the socio-economic well-being of the people in the at Wassa Amenfi Central. He said the DRIP project would improve connectivity, facilitate trade, attract investment, stimulate local economy, and promote a more inclusive development. The DCE said: 'Our roads are the livelihoods of our communities, which President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has, today, given significant boost to connect our towns and villages, facilitate movement of goods and services for the economic and social development of our district.' Dr Albert Wiredu Arkoh, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Amenfi Central, said the project was meant to revamp and improve local road networks by providing essential road maintenance equipment to rehabilitate and upgrade roads in the constituency He tasked the Assembly and constituents to help work diligently to ensure that the equipment was used effectively and maintained properly. Dr Arkoh thanked the Nana Addo- Bawumia government for the wonderful initiative and asked the people of Amenfi Central to vote massively for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and himself to bring more development to the constituency.
