Deputies concerned about preserving the image of the Cape Verdean parliament

National deputies expressed this Wednesday their concerns about their images in the eyes of the public, so they warn everyone to contain words in parliamentary debates without inhibiting the contradictory.

The motto was given by the deputy elected by the Independent and Democratic Cabo Verdean Union (UCID – opposition), António Monteiro, during the debate with the Minister of the Sea, Abraão Vicente, who questioned the board to express his concern about how “many times parliament has been on the lips of the people not for good reasons”.

António Monteiro even said that it scares him a lot to hear in the parliamentary house, “first, that there are threats from deputies (…), second, when the Minister says he is not afraid of words or other things”, guaranteeing that the words “in the parliament have a terrible impact on citizens’ ears” and deputies continue on this path.

“Where will we be taking this parliament and politics in the country?” asked António Monteiro, who urged the leader of the parliamentary house to ask everyone to always keep in mind.
