CVA’s Management clarifies the suspension of activity is for 14 days and not 30

The Cabo Verde Airlines (CVA) management clarified that the suspension of the company’s activity following the government’s decision to attachment the plane is for 14 days and not 30 days as previously reported.

In a statement sent this Sunday to Inforpress for the purpose of correcting the news released Saturday, the CVA management said that passengers departing in the next 14 days can also opt for protection on other airlines upon availability.

“The suspension of operations is until July 12 and not July 25, which assumed the 30-day deadline wrongly published”, said the administration, adding that even though the company is making every effort to minimize the constraints unintentionally caused.

In a message sent to Inforpress on Saturday, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of CVA today expressed “surprised and disappointed” by the Government’s decision to “try to the attachment in Sal Island” of aircraft which “is not even owned by the company”.
