Covid-19: Cape Verde reports 14 new cases of infection in the last 24 hours

Cape Verde recorded 14 more cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours in a universe of 197 samples analyzed and 10 recovered, giving the country a total of 38 active infections.

According to this Tuesday’s epidemiological bulletin, these 14 new cases were reported in the municipalities of Porto Novo 1 (one), São Vicente 8 (eight), Ribeira Brava de São Nicolau 4 (four), Tarrafal de São Nicolau 1(one) and the positivity rate stood at 7.1%.

With this new data, the country now has 38 active cases, 62,639 recovered cases, 412 deaths, 46 deaths from other causes and nine transferred, making a cumulative 63,144 positive cases.

In order to mitigate the consequences of the covid-19 pandemic in Cape Verde, the health authorities are calling on people to join the vaccination campaign against the disease that is taking place across the country, so that everyone can be more protected as soon as possible.
