City Halls of Brava and Pontedera (Italy) sign twinning agreement for strengthening some areas

The City Hall of Brava and the counterpart of Pontedera (Italy) signed in Nova Sintra, a twinning agreement for the strengthening of areas such as culture, education, among others, which “need to gain other levels”.

Speaking to Inforpress on Tuesday, Francisco Tavares explained that this agreement arose from an initiative of the President of the Republic, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, who started the talks and served as a link between the two municipalities.

In the light of these talks, the Mayor of Pontedera, accompanied by two councillors and the director of cabinet, who made a visit to the island today, demonstrating the commitment to collaborate with Brava in the area of culture, tourism which is very strong in the municipality of Pontedera, health, pre-school education, sanitation and Civil Protection, Francisco Tavares reinforced.

According to the Mayor of Brava, these are the areas Brava still needs to reach other levels and with identical twinnings he believes that it is possible to achieve “significant gains”.
