The City Hall of São Vicente announced the holding, from December 8 to 10, of the first forum to project the island and then northern region by 2035 to “build consensus and achieve a transformation agenda”.
The forum on “Internationalization of São Vicente 2035” is, according to the Mayor Augusto Neves, framed in the international development and projection agenda of the island and thus “to look at the future of the island and the northern region in the long term” and also mobilize the “main stakeholders”, namely, Government, City Halls, civil society, public and private sectors, specialists and foreigners.
“To reflect together and build a regional consensus for the development and modernization of the island of São Vicente,” the same source said at a press conference today in Mindelo.
The Councilman Albertino Graça considered, on the other hand, this long-term programming will allow “to discuss the potential of the island and turn them into development strategies”.
