Cinema: ACACV points to resource mobilization as the association’s main challenge

The president of the Cabo Verde Film and Audiovisual Association (ACACV), Júlio Silvão Tavares, said this Tuesday, in Praia, that at the moment, resource mobilization is the “main challenge” that the association faces.

Júlio Silvão, who was speaking to Inforpress, following the General Assembly that took place this Saturday, December 17, for the approval of the activity plan and budget, said that the assembly took place as normal, with these two instruments unanimously approved by the associates.

He also highlights that the plan of activities for the year 2023 will be continued with some activities from the previous year, with “essential focus” on the associates and for the training and visibility of their works.

According to this official, for the year 2023, ACACV will carry out a series of activities, namely, the university film competition for the academic year 2022/2023, the film competition “Nha Cidade, Nha Filme”. It is divided into two phases, the first municipal, in which the competitor can present films from different cities from a cultural, social, historical, architectural point of view.
