Cape Verde and Cuba strengthen cooperation in the field of Education and Public Health

The Government of Cape Verde and the Republic of Cuba signed a Joint Communiqué in Havana, aiming to develop and strengthen existing cooperation relations between the two countries in the areas of Education and Public Health, based on the principles of reciprocity and mutual benefit. .

In the educational sector, the two countries will strengthen cooperation in early childhood education, care for children, adolescents and young people with disabilities, with an intersectoral approach, in University Education, in continuous teacher training, curriculum development, Learning Assessment System , Assessment of the Quality of Education, Inclusive Education, Development of Research in Educational Sciences, as well as in the implementation of educational technologies.

The Republic of Cuba will support the Government in the creation of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Cape Verde and promote exchanges between Cuban and Cape Verdean universities, in the specialties of Medical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Marine Sciences.

In the health sector, the two countries plan to strengthen cooperation in Research Development, training of medical personnel in Cape Verde and training of specialists in Cuba, in addition to training and training teachers in the field of Medical Sciences, continuous training in the clinical field. and teaching staff (Postgraduate, Masters and Doctorates), Continuous Assessment System for the performance of health professionals in Cape Verde, as well as advising on the implementation of the National Program for Pre-hospital Medical Emergency in Cape Verde.
