Cabo Verde Tourism Institute launches “Signaling of Trekking Network in Santiago Island” project

The Cabo Verde Tourism Institute (ITCV) today launches the “Signaling of Trekking Network in Santiago Island” project, under the Nature Tourism program.

According to a note sent to Inforpress, this initiative is part of the Government’s vision with regard to the development of tourism based on the valorization of tourism resources, especially minor roads.

According to the document, the project aims to position Cabo Verde on the international route of nature tourism, as well as in the diversification and deconcentration of tourism offer and stimulating the local economy.

According to the same source, the signaling project for the Trekking Network, in addition to contributing to tourism being a factor of development in all communities, provides for the marking of the first main route in Santiago, which crosses the entire island, its extension, and 27 complementary routes, a total extension of 300 kilometers.

The event takes place at the Hospitality and Tourism School of Cabo Verde (EHTCV) from 9AM.
