Cabo Verde participates in the Youth Connekt Africa Summit 22 in Rwanda

The Cabo Verde is represented at the 5th Youth Connekt Africa Summit, which takes place from 13 to 15 of this month, in Kigali (Rwanda), by a delegation headed by the Minister of Sport and Youth, Carlos Monteiro.

The Cabo Verdean entourage is also composed of five young people from the islands of Santo Antão, Fogo and Santiago.

Inspired by the African Union’s theme of the year, “Resilient Youth, Resilient Africa”, this edition, according to the Sport and Youth Institute (IDJ), “will focus on building the resilience of young people on the African continent, with a view to accelerating the human and socio-economic development of African youth.

A continental initiative with the mission of empowering young people, Youth Connekt Africa enables participants to improve “their knowledge, experiences and skills while investing in their ideas, innovations and initiatives”.

The event has plenary sessions, round tables, youth laboratories, exhibitions, training sessions, exchange and networking rooms, as well as spaces for dialogue with governments, business leaders and representatives of international organizations.
