Brawe Kone Elected President of Bonikuy School Council for Three-Year Term


Dokuy: The general assembly of parents of students at Bonikuy school in the Basic Education District (CEB) of Dokuy elected Brawe Kone as president of the school council for a three-year term. The election took place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, amidst a significant turnout of stakeholders, including parents, opinion leaders, and traditional and religious leaders.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the gathering was convened by the school director, Fabrice Baye, who expressed gratitude for the attendees’ commitment to the children’s education. Baye addressed the assembly to explain the reasons behind the delay in establishing the new school council office, emphasizing the necessity of consulting with local religious and traditional leaders. This consultation aimed to clarify the authorities’ vision and the role of the school council in school management.



Baye provided a brief overview of the past year’s activities, highlighting both achievements and challenges faced in enhancing educational quality. Following these discussions, the election proceeded smoothly. Brawe Kone, as the sole candidate, was unanimously elected as the council president. Other board members were appointed without difficulty, reflecting a spirit of consensus.



Before concluding the session, representatives from religious and customary communities urged participants to support the new executive board to benefit the school, aligning with the aspirations of Head of State Captain Ibrahim Traore.
