The “Santiago Ultra Trail”, third race inserted in the circuit of the “Cabo Verde Trail Series”, takes place this Saturday and next Sunday, including trail running, short trail, long trail and ultra trail, kids run and walk.
The “Santiago Ultra Trail” circuit, has already ensured the competition of the Cabo Verdean athletes elite and who are used to trail events, both in Brazil and abroad, which has been for some time intensifying its techniques on the tracks at Santiago. The race covers the municipalities of Praia, São Domingos, Ribeira Grande de Santiago, São Lourenço dos Órgãos and São Salvador do Mundo.
The “Cabo Verde Trail Series” (CVTS) is referred to as a project to promote sports and tourism practice which includes five trail running events, namely the São Nicolau Trail, the Maio Ocean Trail, the Santiago Ultra Trail, the Santo Antão Ultra Trail and the Fogo Vulcan Trail.
Associated with initiatives of economic, cultural, social and training such as festival, fairs and gala among other events, the CVTS has an estimate for the participation of a hundred athletes, 200 walkers and 200 children from four to 12 years.
