Angolan diplomat awarded with Order of Naval Merit

The permanent representative of Angola at the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda was decorated with the “medal of the Order of Naval Merit” on Tuesday in London, United Kingdom.

Also extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Angola to the United Kingdom of Great Britain, Northern Ireland and Ireland, Nunda was decorated during the Brazilian Navy Commemoration Day on 11 June.

The ceremony took place at the premises of the Embassy of Brazil in the United Kingdom and was attended by members of the diplomatic corps from various countries accredited in this country.

The Order of Naval Merit is an honorary order of the Federative Republic of Brazil and its creation aims to honour military personnel from the Brazilian Navy, as well as national or foreign figures who stand out in the exercise of their activities.
