Aerobic gymnastics: Cabo Verde wins two bronze medals in the 16th edition of the African Championship

Cabo Verde won two bronze medals at the 16th Edition of the African Gymnastics Championships, which ended this Saturday, the 24th, in Cairo, Egypt.

 

David Spencer and Stephanie da Cruz won the bronze medal in mixed pair mode, and in individual David Spencer also won the silver medal.

 

“It was a very intense competition, with very strong participations by the representatives from the eight African countries (Algeria- Benin- Cameroon- Cabo Verde- Democratic Republic of Congo- Morocco- Sierra Leone- And Egypt) in the Aerobics,” the Cabo Verdean Federation told, congratulating the national athletes for the medals achieved, as well as the coaches.

 

In an organization of the African Gymnastics Union (UAG), the competition featured gymnasts representing Cabo Verde, Algeria, Benin, Cameroon, Egypt, Morocco, DR Congo and Sierra Leone.

 

Cabo Verde competed again in the African Aerobics Championships after winning the silver medal in the 14th edition of this event held in 2018 in Brazzaville, Congo, where Thairine Fortes, then 15 years old, won the silver medal.
