Sebba: Teachers in the Sebba basic education district (CEB) were congratulated by their superiors for their resilience on Monday, in the face of the difficult security situation, as the administrative year began.
According to Burkina Information Agency, teachers from the Sebba CEB (Educational School for the Advancement of Children) attended their schools on September 15, 2025, for the start of the school year. This mobilization took place despite the difficult security conditions in the municipalities of Sebba and Solhan. The principals and their deputies thus demonstrated their determination to ensure the continuity of education in the Yagha province.
In a letter addressed to the chief inspector of the CEB of Sebba, the provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education of Yagha, Issiaka Hamidou Bokoum, praised the resilience of teachers. He recalled that the blessings of parents and the recognition of local communities are the true pillars of social success. Mr. Bokoum also urged educational stakeholders to persevere to make this new school year a period of success and peace.
For his part, the head of the Sebba CEB, Bako Bali, conveyed a message of encouragement to each school principal. He emphasized that the awards and distinctions received last year reflect the commitment of teachers and the recognition of authorities. He urged his colleagues to maintain the same enthusiasm in fulfilling their educational mission.
As a reminder, teacher Ly Abdoulaye of the Sebba A school was recognized as the best resilient teacher in the Liptako region. This award, presented by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, illustrates the national recognition of the courage and sacrifice of Yagha teachers.
