Psychologist Jaclin Freire stresses the importance of psychological follow-up to people who was infected with COVID-19 virus, explaining the need to be aware of problems may arise in the future in terms of mental health.
Jaclin Freire, who spoke in statements to Inforpress about the importance of psychological follow-up during the pandemic period, said the follow-up should be “in the various stages of life”, but, taking into account crisis situations, such as the one currently experiencing, this importance “is even greater”.
In her view, for people who was infected with the virus, follow-up gives them the feeling they are being cared for by professionals who recognize the emotional symptoms of a possible mental illness.
However, he clarified that not all people who are infected and who become ill develop psychological or mental problems, but others may be more likely to develop these conditions.
