University Institute of Art, Technology and Culture organizes, in partnership with Roça Mundo – Culture and Development, from São Tomé and Príncipe, in Lisbon, a meeting that aims to transform Roça in São Tomé and Príncipe.
The meeting, which will take place from 16 to 18 November, at the premises of the Union of Portuguese Language Capital Cities – UCCLA which also supports the event, to prepare the international seminar on Roça Água-Izé, to be held in São Tomé and Príncipe, in mid-2023.
In a statement, the organization explained that the work meeting held at Roça Água-Izé, in São Tomé and Príncipe, as a “challenge/cause, convenes a group of academics, specialized technicians and other partners for a reflection aiming its transformation”.
“The idea is to transform Roça Água-Izé into a place of the future, based on a fascinating history that dates back to the 17th century, from which a specific project is envisaged, in a territory with a wide cultural heritage that deserves to be studied, preserved and enhanced”, clarified the organization.
