Porto Novo: Livestock farmers in thePlanalto Norte, Porto Novo, Santo Antão are currently benefiting from a project on pasture collection and conservation, under which they will receive, in December, a training in goat farming.
The information was provided by the community leader, António Lima, who explained that the training, which will take place between the 5th and 9th of next month, is part of the project on the collection and conservation of pasture in the North Plateau, financed by the small grants program of the United Nations (GEF SGP).
The Association Topo de Coroa, based in Planalto Norte, in partnership with Association Luz Verde do Norte, Association of Amigos da Natureza and the Spanish non-governmental organization Cerai, is implementing the project.
The Topo de Coroa and Luz Verde do Norte associations, both from the Planalto Norte, have also been carrying out actions within the scope of the conservation plan for the Topo de Coroa natural park, financed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
