National Council recommends improved partnership and “sectoral dialogue” between private sector and the State

The first National Council for Private Sector Development (CNDSP) meeting held on Tuesday in Praia recommended a “more effective” partnership and more sectoral dialogue between the private and State.

At the end of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Olavo Correia said the meeting was based on the need to improve the dialogue framework so that the partnership between the State and the private sector can bring the best results to the country.

“This dialogue has been working, but we can improve, because we, as a ruler or citizen, can’t just say that things are fine, they’re working. We are open to continuing this dialogue to improve,” he said.

The aim, as he said, is for this dialogue to go outside the political area and to be a more sectoral dialogue with the intermediate administration for a discussion on the vision in relation to the sectors, but also to identify operational blockages and jointly build the paths to solve and overcome them.
