The Minister of Communities, Jorge Santos, said the Government will activate an Advisory Council for the Diaspora, which is able to outline public policies aimed at Cabo Verdean immigrants.
Jorge Santos made this speech Wednesday to the press, on the sidelines of his visit to the governor of the Bank of Cabo Verde (BCV), Óscar Santos, whose goal was to hold a first working meeting.
According to the ruler, the intention is this instrument, because the Constitution of the Republic itself speaks in the creation of this mechanism, and the executive wants to evaluate why it does not operate and what difficulties prevent its action.
“The aim is to relaunch in the near future its constitution, which is a government body for public policies with a view to giving due attention to our immigrant communities,” he said.
