Government cannot impose consensus or interfere in the management of the São Vicente City Hall- minister

The Minister of Territorial Cohesion said this Thursday that the Government cannot impose consensus or interfere in the management of the São Vicente City Hall and that sovereign bodies must know the importance of autonomy of the Local Power.

Janine Lélis made these statements during the press conference, when she provided some clarifications on the situation of the São Vicente City Hall, following the statements of the President of the Republic who, this Wednesday, urged the Government to assume its responsibilities regarding the conflict that reigns in the CMSV.

According to the official, the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion, as a government department with this responsibility, launched an investigation process in early July, concluded in August, on the situation registered at the São Vicente City Hall.

“This process began in July and was concluded in August. The report is published and is for public knowledge, that is, what was an action of the protection of legality, the responsibility of the Government was assumed and developed and we continue with the actions as well as we also have actions to develop in relation to the beach”, he asserted.
