Anjos da Noite project “works well” and has distributed about 21.000 hot meals in four years

The “Anjos da Noite” project coordinator, Margarida Rocha, revealed today that in four years of existence, the program distributed 21.353 hot meals and performed 3.191 cleaning action for homeless people in the city of Praia.

In an interview with Inforpress, the coordinator said that “Anjos da Noite”, which is a social intervention project from the City Hall of Praia, works “well” even in the pandemic context and the initiative is to continue.

According to this responsible, every night, the “Anjos da Noite” team meets in front of the building of the City Hall, and then begin the work of delivering hot meals to the homeless already identified by the project.

“The Anjos da Noite Project is a project to continue, at the moment has the aspect of providing service in the street and Municipal House. We go out every night on the streets to, in addition to distributing hot meals, keep in touch with the homeless through dialogue. We provide the proximity service to people who use the street as a place of sleep,” she said.
